For: Inter/Adv dancers, Age 12 and up.

At: QEB downtown studio, St. Peter’s Church, 1317 Queen Emma St. Honolulu

Cost: $530 for 6 days, 10:00am - 5:00pm

Peter Cheng is a Taiwanese-American dancer, art model, actor, and movement director based in New York City whose interests lie in the realm of art-making with the physical body at the forefront. After receiving his BFA from UC Santa Barbara, Peter went on to train with Alonzo King LINES Ballet, ODC/Dance, San Francisco Conservatory of Dance, Post:Ballet, Sidra Bell Dance NY | MODULE, Visceral Dance Chicago, Springboard Danse Montréal, YYDC/Yin Yue, NW Dance Project, NVA & Guests, and Henny Jurrïens Studio (NL). His passion for cultivating community and teaching has extended to Play Motion Lab, a platform offering affordable classes and workshops to professional dancers actively working in New York. We are excited to have him teaching Contemporary Ballet technique and Contemporary Repertoire 6/3, 6/5, 6/7.

Roberta Wong has been a professional performing and teaching artist for over 30 years. Highlights include: Boston Ballet (apprentice), company member Indianapolis Ballet Theatre, and company member, company teacher and rehearsal director for Dance Kaleidoscope, under David Hochoy. She has received Creative Renewal Fellowships from the Arts Council of Indianapolis, Indiana Arts Commission Individual Artist grants, and a Ball State University CHIRP grant. Her Indiana Arts Commission Lifelong grant awards led to the design and delivery of seated senior programming within senior homes, and inspired the formation of the nonprofit Dance Every Journey, where she has taught seated seniors, Ballet for 50+ and veterans from domiciliary. We are thrilled to have her teaching Ballet technique and Graham 6/2, 6/4, 6/6.

Afternoon classes taught by gifted instructors, Ms. Aya Duong, Ms. Celia Chun, and Mr. Jose Silva will include Variations, Broadway Jazz, and Hip Hop. Every day will end with a choreography class taught by guest instructor Ms. Roberta Wong.
